Interior design or turnkey renovation: what is the difference?
Design defines the solution; renovation executes it. Scope, responsibility and costs must be compared separately.
Two services with different purposes
What an interior design project delivers
Interior design covers concept, planning, visualisations, technical drawings and selections. It creates the basis contractors need to price and execute the work.
What turnkey renovation includes
Turnkey renovation organises construction and may include procurement or management. The label does not automatically guarantee detailed design, furniture or designer site supervision.
Choosing the right model
Request two explicit lists: design deliverables and included works. Confirm who approves changes, who owns measurements and how additional costs are reported.
